Membership Community Councils

Our Membership & Community Councils (MCCs) consist of Members dedicated to making a positive difference at a local level, they are the link between the Society, our Members and the communities in which we trade in. The four MCCs - Southern, Northern, Eastern and Western - organise a range of activities and events to align with Central Co-op’s three strategic themes: Meaningful Membership, Greener Energy and Young People, as well as co-operative values and principles.

Member and Community Relations Officers:

Our Member and Community Relations Officers (MCROs), based in Southern, Northern, Eastern and Western regions, play a vital role in strengthening connections with our communities, ensuring that our co-operative values are brought to life through meaningful engagement, support and collaboration. Our four MCROs actively organise and host events, collaborate with schools, support charitable causes and engage with various community groups to drive meaningful change. They also support regional MCCs by offering expertise and guidance to help with the delivery of planned activities and events, creating truly customised community engagement.
