Eastern Member and Community Council

The Eastern MCC represents Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Lincolnshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. It meets six times a year and focuses on Membership engagement, collaborating with retail and funeral colleagues, supporting local community events, and organising educational workshops. The council also provides financial support and volunteers with various Member and community groups, including those centred around music, friendship, wellbeing and crafts.

The Eastern MCC welcomes suggestions from Members to enhance its program of activities. Due to the large geographical area it covers, the council is divided into two groups to ensure a more localised approach and an equitable distribution of resources.

Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire & Lincolnshire Council local members: Lewis Vernum, Sam Lefevre, Shannon Hilton, Chris Pilkington, Ornella Akichi, Sian Ashby, and Louis Zeng. Meetings are held in Peterborough.

Norfolk and Suffolk Council local members: Nicole Suchy, Lisa Brown, Phil Harris, John Morland, Colin Baldwin, Mandy Duruk, Harry Wilson, Laura Crowley, Michael Cattee, Sharon Sutton, and Chloe Bunn. Meetings are held in Halesworth, Suffolk.

I have worked for Central Coop for almost 3 years. Working alongside our communities & members is what I enjoy most. Building wonderful relationships & bringing people together. Learning & sharing the cooperative values & principles. Delivering meaningful workshops & events across the Eastern Region with support of my MCC members and the skills & knowledge that they bring, along with their enthusiasm and loyalty to their co-op society.
