Western Member and Community Council

The Western MCC represents the West Midlands, Staffordshire and the North West covering areas including Burton on Trent, Lichfield, Dudley, Warwick, Stoke on Trent, and our new areas covering Liverpool, Cheshire and Lancashire. Supporting activities and events that benefit both Members and the wider community, the council oversees a variety of dedicated Member groups, including those focused on dancing, musical theatre, gardening, and health and wellbeing. The Western MCC also plays an active role in delivering educational initiatives in local schools and further education settings, as well as local community groups that provide social activities for Members.

About James

I’ve worked for Central Co-op now for over 27 years. I started in our retail side of the business at 16 and worked my way up to be a store manager at the age of 21. For the last 11 years I have been in my current role I have a passion for supporting mental health, specifically promoting the men’s mental health agenda, and have managed the delivery of our successful Men’s Voices events that take place each November. Delivering activity and events for our members and their families alongside our wonderful MCC is such an honour. I live in North Derbyshire with my wife and two children.
