Southern Member and Community Council

The Southern MCC represents Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and surrounds. It actively hosts and participates in various events and initiatives across the region, supporting Member groups that contribute to their communities and taking great pride in collaborating with many inclusive community groups. The council also offers a range of educational and recreational courses and engages in activities that promote health and wellbeing.

About Karen

I have worked for the Society for 23 years, having come from a healthcare background, Health and wellbeing is very important to me which is why you will either find me at the gym or out running with my husband in my free time. I also enjoy horse-riding and I belong to a book club. I have introduced health and wellbeing activities for our members and have designed and developed educational workshops and resources to support our three key themes. None of this is possible without the significant support of my MCC members and the skills that they bring, along with their enthusiasm and loyalty to their co-op society.
