Being part of Central Co-op means contributing to the amazing impact we have on our local communities and building strong relationships with other Members in your area.
What is a Co-op?
A co-operative is an organisation made up of Members who work together to decide how it’s run. This means that every Member is a part-owner of Central Co-op.
One of the things that sets us apart from a normal business is that we reinvest a percentage of our profits into our local communities.
How do I become a Central Co-op Member?
You can join Membership by downloading our app or by visiting our website.
You will pay £1 to become a Member. We’re owned by our Members and so £1 is the cost of owning a share in Central Co-op and this Membership then rewards you with many great benefits, like converting your points earned into a Share of our Profits twice a year.
Some of our Members who joined prior to 28 Feb 2023, will not have paid £1, but will be earning points for their £1 share. Once you have earned enough points to cover the £1 share, all future points earned will go towards being rewarded with a share of our profits.
Full Membership
Full Membership, with associated democratic rights begins once you hold a £1 share and remain a Member for 6 months thereafter. Full Members can vote on Society matters and apply for community funding. Full terms and conditions can be found at www.members.coop/terms
